Coming Home to Woodley Gardens

A beloved part of Georgetown Hill’s story is returning for a new generation of children and families.

Our roots at 850 Nelson Street date back to the 1970s, when Georgetown Hill founder Ellen Cromwell established an early childhood program here. In the 1990s, she returned to open Georgetown Hill at Woodley Gardens, creating a warm school community that flourished for more than two decades.

After a fire damaged the building in 2019, nearby Georgetown Hill campuses welcomed our children and families. Thankfully, no one was hurt. Bringing Woodley Gardens back has taken years of planning, dedication, and support from our school community and local leaders.

Now, our next chapter is taking shape. We look forward to welcoming families back to a place where children learn, play, and feel at home.
