Clarksburg Campus

Georgetown Hill’s Clarksburg campus is located on the site of Clarksburg Elementary School, in a two-room schoolhouse listed on the National Register of Historic Places and the county’s historic master plan. We offer both full- and part-time programs for Threes and Pre-Kindergartners. The play-based P.L.A.N. curriculum at Clarksburg utilizes evidence-based approaches to early childhood education that spark the natural learner in every child.

Campus Director

Meet Shalom Kester

Ms. Shalom has been with Georgetown Hill since April 2006, in roles ranging from assistant teacher to lead teacher to director, at the NRC, Apple Ridge, and Clarksburg campuses. Her BA is in Elementary Education with a focus on Special Education and Psychology, supplemented later with additional coursework in Early Childhood Education. She loves conversations with kiddos, incorporating ideas from brain-based research into our programs, and enhancing the historical beauty of the original 1909 schoolhouse that is our Clarksburg campus.
