Meet the Director

Born and raised in Massachusetts, Shelby moved to Maryland in the fall of 2014. Unsure of where she would begin her teaching career, Shelby quickly found Georgetown Hill. “Coming to Georgetown Hill was like finding a family I never knew existed,” she says. Shelby loves interacting with children in the classroom as well as their parents and future families. Shelby is there to support families while enabling their children to grow and learn in our historic schoolhouse. She believes that open lines of communication between herself, the teachers, and the parents are the greatest key to success for the child’s learning experience.
