Welcome to one of the newest locations for Georgetown Hill Early School, where we love where we learn!
In 2019, a partnership was developed to blend the two highly regarded schools of Georgetown Hill Early School with the Onica Prall Lab School of Hood College. Now known as Georgetown Hill at Hood College Lab School, we are thrilled to build on the strengths and reputations of both schools. We are now offering both full and part-time options using our play-based P.L.A.N. curriculum. Serving the surrounding community of Frederick for children ages two through five.
As a non-profit organization with the mission of providing superior early childhood programs for families in the community, our partnership with Hood College allows us to continue with that mission while helping to shape the next generation of teachers heading out into the ever-changing field of educating our youngest learners.

Meet the Director
Emily Adesina works for Georgetown Hill Early School as the Director of the Georgetown Hill Lab School at Hood College. She studied Early Childhood Education at Hood College and graduated magna cum laude with a bachelor’s degree in 2014. During this time, Adesina conducted research on how preschoolers learn about STEM concepts through play. This research was presented at the Strong National Museum of Play and later published in the SRATE Journal of Education. She went on to work for Frederick County Public Schools as an early childhood teacher and leadership intern. In May 2019, Adesina completed her master’s degree, summa cum laude, in Educational Leadership at Hood College. Adesina looks forward to returning to Hood for this exciting time at the Georgetown Hill Lab School.
